Hampton Building Systems New Building Civil Site Works

Project Details

Year Completed: 2017
Client: Hampton Building Systems Inc.
Location: Paradise, NL

This project consisted of completing civil works for a new building in the Town of Paradise, NL. In order for the building to be brought to the design elevation the site needed to be significantly infilled. Water and sewer infrastructure was available in front of the new site for the building to connect to. The storm water drainage was directed to the stream along the lower boundary of the site. Work included gathering all information from the client and Town of Paradise including legal surveys and as built information for Bremigan’s Boulevard, developing an existing site plan showing all existing street infrastructure services, completing a topographical survey of the site, coordinating geotechnical services, developing a civil drawing package including lot grading plan, site services, storm sewer infrastructure, parking, accessibility regulations, concrete works and building layout features. During conversations with the Town of Paradise it was brought to our attention that a roundabout is in the forecast for this intersection. We proceeded to obtain the preliminary design layout and ensured our site adhered to the proposed limits of the future roundabout. A pre-tender estimate was produced for the client for budgetary purposes and contract administration was carried out throughout the tender stage and during construction.
