Engineer-in-Training (EIT)

Progressive Engineering & Consulting Inc. (PEC) is seeking an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing team in Paradise, Newfoundland & Labrador.

This opportunity is suited to an early-career engineer who is looking to build practical experience across a variety of civil, municipal, infrastructure, land development, and construction-related projects. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers, technologists, designers, project managers, and field staff while developing the technical and professional experience required to progress toward professional engineering registration.

PEC provides engineering and consulting services throughout Newfoundland & Labrador and Atlantic Canada, with opportunities to contribute to multidisciplinary projects across Canada through our relationship with CAP Engineering.

The Role

As an Engineer-in-Training with PEC, you will support project teams through a combination of engineering design, technical analysis, field work, project coordination, and construction support.

Why Join PEC?

PEC provides early-career engineers with the opportunity to gain meaningful hands-on experience and contribute directly to projects from design through construction.

Our EITs work closely with experienced professionals and are encouraged to take an active role in project delivery, client coordination, field work, technical design, and problem solving.

We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, opportunities for professional development, exposure to diverse projects, and the opportunity to grow within a collaborative engineering organization.

Through PEC’s relationship with CAP Engineering, team members may also have opportunities to support projects outside Atlantic Canada and gain experience working within larger multidisciplinary teams.
